Do Ideas Wander?

How often does this happen to you: An idea comes randomly in your mind, you keep pronouncing it under your breath, until you note it somewhere for future reference, and hola before you reach the point of assimilation, the idea goes.

Been there, experienced that?

Well, think about it.

It hurts, right?

A few weeks back, I was reading an amazing book which is from my perspective the far most important book for every digital creator. It talks a lot about ideas: How they work, how they come, why they buzz off when you don’t work on them, and what's the best way to never let any idea go from your mind.

Sounds amazing, right?

True, it is.

Do you ever wonder why the amazing ideas never arrive again?

There are many reasons.

As per the book, one of the prime ones is that: If you don’t have a habit of working on an idea, it has a habit of going to some other mind. A mind, a soul, a body that will execute it (despite all hardships which the idea brings in the first place).

As if the idea is a living soul, finding a place where it can germinate all its seeds and then rest. While the idea rests, the responsibilities of the person to whom the idea arrived only upsurges.

So, what should we do in order to retain an idea?

No creator loves losing a worth executing idea, right?

There are always other options (minds) available for the idea. Options of new souls, individuals who are constantly attracting it, but for you, as an individual the sole option is to work on the idea or be ready to let it go.

When an idea arrives in your mind, always make sure to:

  1. Note it down and then start working on it.

Oh….! I see you are busy, most of the days.

If you are, and you can’t execute the idea right now. Then do just one thing:

2. Write it down. (For god’s sake)

This one also comes with an untold expiry date, so do not completely rely on it. Don't think: Oh…! I have penned it. I need not worry. I will execute it someday. That someday should arrive soon, or you better brace yourself to greet goodbye to it.

Because once gone, it will never arrive again.

Ideas depart very smoothly and if you wish to retain them, then the sole option for you is to: Work on it.

So, are you ready to execute your good ideas?
